Volgens veel onderzoeken kopen we veel maar: hangen onze kledingkasten vol, ook met kleding die nog nooit is gedragen; komt kleding die we weg doen niet goed terecht; wordt veel kleding weggegooid en vernietigd; zijn de omstandigheden waaronder kleding wordt geproduceerd nog steeds lang niet overal goed; zijn veel grondstoffen voor kleding schadelijk voor het milieu; is goedkope kleding vaak kwalitatief slecht.
Ik wil dat je weet dat je door kleding te kopen bij Carla een goede keuze doet, mocht je meer willen letten op duurzaamheid. Ik let namelijk op wat mijn labels doen aan duurzaamheid. Ik let ook op de kwaliteit van de kleding, die moet goed zijn, zodat je jarenlang plezier hebt van de jurken. De jurken zijn elegant en tijdloos en ook daarom kun je ze heel lang dragen.
Elements of Freedom
Elements of Freedom stands for Freedom and equality for all. The collections are designed in Amsterdam and out clothes are produced under fair labour conditions. The production of all of our woven items takes place in Europe. Out knitwear is produced in Magnolia in a fabric which is BSCI-certified. And as we love nature and our earth, Elemants of Freedom uses natural and, as much as possible, sustainable materials. All of our fabric and yarns are basically Oeko-Tex standard 110 certified.

Caroline Biss
De confectie van Caroline Biss gebeurt voor het grootste deel in de eigen productiesite in Europa. Caroline Biss garandeert respect van de internationale arbeidsrechten, de mensenrechten en ze betalen leefbare lonen aan hun arbeiders. De collecties zijn geen fast fashion, maar kwaliteitsvol design waar je lang van kunt genieten. Ook geeft Caroline Biss duurzaam onderhoudsadvies om de kleding zo lang mogelijk te dragen. Zo dragen ze zorg voor schaarse grondstoffen. De kwaliteit en veiligheid van de producten staan voorop. Daarom eist Caroline Biss volledige transparantie van stoffen- en garenleveranciers inzake schadelijk- en kankerverwekkende bestanddelen. Zodat de kleding zonder zorg voor de gezondheid kan worden gedragen.
Set
"A responsible and environmentally conscious attitude is firmly anchored in Set's daily actions. We produce with care and respect for people, animals and the environment. We select our materials according to sustainable criteria and successively convert out products acoordingly. For many of our styles we use organic cotton and recycled polyesther. We have decided not to use down or real fur. We do not use exotic leather and offer the "vegan leather", an animal-free alternative in our area of expertise. We are not an eco-label. But we work hard te be as environmentally friendly and innovative as possible under our own strict conditions and criteria. For us, our children and our childern's children"
